When you are reading this Apad review, i think you are probably wondering what Apad is and why you should consider it before you buy a Ipad. Well, I will try to tell you what the Apad does, and how good it really is. Speaking of tablet PC, it seem that we all talk about IPad. Yeah, of course iPad is a cool machine, but Apad 7 Inch tablets running Android OS is also amazing.

If you need to get some real work done outside of the office, You use a laptop;If you need to keep track of emails, You may go with a smartphone; If you check news websites a lot, You will try? Ipad? Probably not!

Design

You see, the design is exactly the same style as you’d expect with the iPad. The 7″ aPad screen although is not big as the 9.7″ Ipad, but just more convenient and easy-to-use.I have heared many people complained that iPad is heavier than most people expect. It is so heavy that your wrist will get tired after less than 30mn of firmly holding it. External design is not too dissimilar from the Apple iPad, Apad weighs in at 320gm.Its weight gives the device a good presence. It feels very good in your hands. It does not creak or feel as if it would break if you mishandled it slightly. Overall it is fair to say that it feels solid. The back of the device is a hard, yet smooth silver plastic.

Web Browsing

We know it is very important how well a tablet device handles web browsing, also this is why we choose it not a laptop. Well,Let’s see the way of Web Browsing: Since it is running Android, With Chrome built into Android OS you can surf internet ,do some reading of blogs, checking the news, and working with your email easily.

When we tried to use chrome to browsing the internet, we see that it loaded up very quickly. And once loaded, you can scroll around and zooming in and out of web pages simplely presse the + and – buttons that are overlaid over every webpage. When we are navigating the New York Times, a much more content intensive site, Apad took about 21 seconds to completely load. However at the 8 second mark, you could scroll around the site. Scrolling around this site was not as smooth as general webiste. I assume it is because there are many more pictures to be rendered.

Android Expandability

Ok, before go on to review Apad’s function of ebooks, video, we need to say something abouth the Android Marketplace. That’s because most of this based on these app.

No doubt it is one of the biggest selling points of Apad that it has access to the android market place at any time. No more need to hack special firmware. You just open the market place by clicking the icon, and either enter your google username and password – or create a new one. Once done, you have all the applications on the market place at your disposal. With your google account, you can download a huge variety of free and paid software from the Android Market, most of which are free, or very cheap as opposed to the iPad experience.

BTY,No need to worry about Installing applications because it is dead easy. Just navigate to an app you want and press install. You got it! It will then be installed in the background (at which point you are free to continue browsing).

PDF reading:

The ability to flick through a PDF is a nice feature to have on a MID. The aPad doesn’t have iBook as Apple iPad, but has a built in eBook reader. Also there is plenty of app available to download from the Android Marketplace. You may want to try Aldiko, a good reader application.The apad was very good at handling PDFs and they rendered quite nicely.You may think that Apad’s screen is slightly smaller than iPad, but don’t forget the price.Anyway both of them could  does the same thing well.

Video

Apad’s 7inch screen is ideal for watching video and the specifications state the apad can play HD videos up to 720P video. The device played: mov, avi and mkv containers and would not play vob files or wmv files. When entering the rockchip created video player application you are presented with a list of your videos against a plain white backdrop. Under each video title you are given the running time (and a last place stopped if you set a bookmark), the video container, the size of the file, and where it is on the device (flash memory, USB, mico SD). Starts the video by clicking on a title.

Tip:press “book mark button” to set a book mark so the next time you play a file it will load from that point. The device does NOT have automatic bookmarking/resume play so you need to remember to use this function

With aPad iRobot you can access YouTube by click on the YouTube Icon. and you’re presented with YouTube and watching all of the videos you can handle. The world favorite time waster is fully functional and works great on the aPad.

Now you should have a good idea of why the APad is for you, especially at a significantly cheaper price than the iPad.
